Ken Wensel was born in 1975 and raised in Hamiton, Montana. After college at the University of Montana, with summers spent in Kodiak, Alaska, he worked as a ski patroller in Utah before returning to his home state. He is currently in his 19th year at the Big Mountain Fire Department. He lives and works in Whitefish, Montana.
